History | Bought new 1878 by Masons sold Cranfields 1915 47 tons built Skippers Arthur Catchpole , Brooks 1894 . Skipper Arthur Catchpole of the “Elsie Bertha” who would have nothing to do with the orthodox seaman’s blue jersey & cheese cutter cap. Instead always wore a hard felt hat and white collar and cuffs.
