2020 Vision Project

At the beginning of 2020 the History Group asked the village of Waldringfield if they would be prepared to help in a year long project. Little did we think at this stage that 2020 would turn out to be such an extrordinary and unusual year!

They were asked:

Please could you help us create a record of life in Waldringfield in 2020, as a gift from the Present to Future generations? If you were a resident in the year 2000, you may have taken part in Kit Clark’s Millennium Project which captured a snapshot of families and homes at the turn of the 21st century. We want to repeat the exercise again this year (and every 20 years) to create a fascinating social and historic record for posterity. This is a collaborative project with other local interest groups that we plan to celebrate with the village in early 2021.

A questionaire was circulated with a number of questions that it was hoped would lead to a better understanding on how the village had changed over the previous 20 Years. We cannot publish the Millennium information online as we don’t have premission from the original people who supplied that information, but this questionaire requests that some information can be shared for posterity purposes.

If you have been unable to complete the questonaire until now you can still download it and send it back to us or if you just wish to share a photograph of you and your family outside of your house please send it to Amanda Sims at waldringfield2020@gmail.com
