James Browne (1744-96) – he came from Yorkshire. For 40 of his 56 years as Rector here, he was also Vicar of Falkenham. He was buried at St Matthew’s Ipswich. | |

William Kett (1796-1832) – A native of Kelsale, he was curate at Snape with Friston, before becoming Rector of Shottisham in 1781, adding to his responsibilities (and income) the parishes of Darsham in 1789 and Waldringfield in 1796. He died suddenly at Shottisham in July 1832. Lord of the Manor at Shottisham, married Charlotte nee Garneys heir to manor of Yoxford. Died at Shottisham in 1832 |

Charles Waller -(1833-38) – He graduated from Queens College Cambridge, where he was described as ‘a native of Suffolk’ and Waldringfield seems to have been his only living. He appears to have moved to Trimley St Mary (but not as its Rector) where he died in August 1842 at the early age of 38. He was uncle to Thomas Henry Waller who followed as vicar in 1862. Died at Waldringfield in 1842. Married Catherine Julian from Trimley, daughter of Rev Joseph Julian & Jane nee Naunton. Son Charles Edward Waller also a vicar but not in Waldringfield.

To hold to him ye sayd Alexander Hune & his Assignees for & dureing ye te[r]me of his natural life if he ye sayd Alexander shall so long continue Rector of ye s[ai]d Church of ye Lord by the rod & at ye will of ye Lord according to ye customes of this mannor by ye yeerely rent of (left blank) suite of court & other services therefore due & of right customs saving others right & he did his fealty & is thereof admitted tenant but his fine is respited until etc.,,
