At a General Court Baron holden for the said Mannor the Thirteenth Day of November in the
Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty before Lott Knight Gent Steward
There It is thus inrolled
Whereas at a General Court Baron holden for this Mannor the Nineteeth Day of October last Past It was presented by the
Homage thereof that before that Court Sarah Simson (before Sarah Ellis Spinster) dyed seised of diverse Copyhold Lands and
Tenements holden of this Mannor and because no person came at that Court the First Proclamation was made for want of a Tenant
Now at this Court came Ellis Simson an Infant only Son and Heir of the said Sarah in his proper Person and prayed to be
admitted Tenant to the Copyhold Lands and tenements holden of this Mannor whereof the said Sarah Simson his late Mother
dyed seised as aforesaid as his Right and Inheritance (that is to say) To One piece of Land with the Appurtenances
containing by Estimation Three Roods lying in a certain Close called Popple Pightle otherwise Church Pightle (which
Premisses the said Sarah Simson, by the name of Sarah Ellis had and took up to her and her Heirs out of Court by the Admission
of the then Lord the Eighteenth Day of July in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Three (To which
said Ellis Simson seizing of the premises is delivered by the Rodd) To hold to him his heirs and Assigns by Right of Inheritance
Of the Lords and Ladys of this Mannor at the Will of the Lords and Ladys according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rents
And Services therefore due and of Right to accustomed And he paid the Lord and Ladys a F fr the same And I Admitted
thereto Tenant of the Lord and Ladys Saving everyones Rights etc.,
