Esquire Lord of the Manor holden on and for this Manor on Friday the fifteenth Day of October

One Thousand eight hundred and thirteen  (after a General Court Baron or Customary Court this

Day held for this Manor) Before James Wenn Gentleman Steward there.  Amongst other Things

It is thus Inrolled

Whereas at a General Court Baron holden for this Manor on the tenth Day of June now last past the death of John Carter late a Copyhold Tenant of this

Manor was presented  by the Homage and that he died seised of certain Lands and Tenements holden of this Manor by copy of court roll And thereupon the first

Proclamation was made that if any one would come into Court and made any Claim Right Title or Demand of in or to the same he should be received but

No one came etc.  And whereas at a General Court Baron holden for this Manor on the twenty fourth Day of September following the second Proclamation was

For the like purpose made but no one came etc., And whereas  at a General Court Baron holden for this Manor on this fifteenth Day of October One thousand

Eight hundred and thirteen the third Proclamation was for the like purpose made And because no one came to be Admitted Tenant to the Copyhold

Lands and Tenements of which the said John Carter lately died seised and holden of this Manor the Bailiff of this Manor was commanded to seize the same

Into the hands of the Lord of this Manor for want of a Tenant And which have this Day been seized into the hands of the said Lord To the use of the

Said Lord his Heirs and Assigns Now at this Court cometh Thomas Waller of Sutton in the County of Suffolk Gentleman and under and by virtue of

The Covenant of the said John Carter contained in a certain Indenture of Release Bearing date the eighteenth Day of December One thousand seven hundred

And ninety Nine and made between the said John Carter and Mary Ann his wife of the one part and the said Thomas Waller of the other part, putteth himself

Upon the favor of the Lord of this Manor and humbly desireth that he would regrant to him the said Thomas Waller the Copyhold Lands and

Hereditaments of which the said John Carter died seized holden of this Manor and which were so seised as aforesaid (that is to say) One undivided

Moiety or half part of two pieces of Land and Pasture containing together by estimation seven Acres formerly Greens And of one Rood of Copyhold Land called

Agnes Hobbs And of one piece of Land containing by estimation one Acre lying in a Close called Broad le which Moiety and premises the said John Carter had and took

Up to him and the Heirs of his Body on the thirthieth day of July One thousand seven hundred and eighty three after the death and as eldest Son and Heir of the Body

Of Sarah Carter as by the entry of his Admission will appear Whereupon the Lord of this Manor in recontinuance of Ancient Rents and Servivces heretofore,

Due and payable for the said Moiety and Premises doth by the hands of his said Steward by the rod according to the custom of this Manor grant and deliver

Seisin thereof to the said Thomas Waller with the Appurtenances To hold the same Moiety and premises with the Appurtenances to him the said Thomas

Waller and his Heirs of the Lord oat the Will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the Ancient Rents and Services therefor due and of right accustomed

Saving everyone’s right and he is Admitted Tenant thereto and he therefore giveth the Lord several Fines as appear in the Margin but his Fealty is respited until etc/
