1491 Will of John Grey – final version
In the name off Godd Amen. I John Grey of Sutton in the co[un]tie off Suff[olk] being in
good me[n]d make my testament in this wyse the iii day off January In the yer off ower lord
Godd MCCCCLxxxxi (1491). First I beqwethe my sowle to God etc., my body to be berryd in
the chyrcheyard off All Holy Seyntes off Sutton. Also I beqwethe to the hye Awter (altar) my
tythes forgotyn – x s. (10/-) Item I beqwethe toward the making off a Kanopy over the hye
Awt[er] in the seyd church xx s. (20/-). Also I beqwethe to the reparacon off the p[ar]ysch chyrche
off Boyton iii s iiiid.(3/4) Also I beqwethe to the reparacon off the p[ar]ysch chyrche off
Shatysh[a]m iiis iiiid (3/4d) Also I beqwethe to the rep[ar]acon off the p[ar]ysche chyrche off
