We are now in the mid 16th century (time of Henry VIII) so a good generation (and a half) beyond the will of William Boole (time of Henry VII). John Hayser (Hyser) has cropped up before as an executor or witness and as a person who sold land and /or tenancies to Anne Mose (Moose) (My Alison says Moss is a common suffolk name). He gives 7d to the altar (we should consider how this compares to what the last genaeration had to pay) He is a husbandman (but owns a house and land – see below). He leaves his best cow to Anne Curtiss (probably related to John and Richard Curtis). Other cows, one apiece, he leaves to Richard Moose, John Moose, Anne Byrgess (Burgess). Two mothering heiffers he leaves to Anne Helmys, daughter of John Helmys and two mothering calfs to Thomas Helmys, brother of Anne. Margaret Seyrsone and Margaret Moose gets an ewe each. The rest is put to the discretion of Jefferey (Jeffrey) Moose (sole executor) – presumably related to Anne. Witnesses were Richard and John Moose (??Moss) and other Mosses, John Weddhyddep[ar] (what sort of name is that) of Waldringfield – ?anyhting to do with Waldringfield Weddo. It is apparent that John Hayser has a house and land – he asks that they be sold and the proceeeds given to the poor and neydey.
