1609  Will of Henry Heart      IC/AA1/45/15

 

In the name of God Amen. I Henerie Hearte of Waldringfeild

In the Countie of Suff[olk] yeoman  sicke in bodie but sounde in minde &

of a goode and p[er]fect memorie thankes be given unto God for it the seventh?

Day of July in the sixth year of the reigne of o[u]r Soveraigne Lord

Jeames by the grace of God of England, France and Ireland Defender of

The faith etc?   kinge  and of Scottland fyve? and fortieth an[no] q[ue] Dom[ini] 1608

doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge

I —–  —– into the handes alsoe I com[m]ende my spirit And my bodie to be

buried in ye  P[ar]ish Churchyarde where it shall please God to call me

Item I give all and singular my Coppiehold Lands lyinge in the Parish of

—— in the county aforesaid.  Unto William Hearte my sonne duringe

his time of his natural liff only and noe longer and after his death I will

That ye sayd? Coppiehold lands shall returne to the heirs of me the sayd

Henerie   It[em] I give and bequeath unto my daughter Marie Hearte all that my tenem[en]t &

Free lands lyinge and beinge in the p[ar]ish of Aspall Stanham in the

Countie aforesaid during the time alsoe of the naturall life only of

The sayd Marie, And after the death of my afore[sai]d daughter I will that

The sayd tenem[en]t or lands shall returne againe to ye heirs of me the

sayd Henerie

Item I give and bequeath unto ye sayd Mary my daughter[er] all and singular my

Household stuffe together w[i]th ye C—–ates or interest w[hi]ch I have in the

Fearme wherein I now am called Hilton Hall in Waldringefeild

Aforesaid w[i]th all ye corne or graine grasse hay or whatsoev[er] is now

Growing upon the sayd p[re]mises, w[i]th all other moveables, goodes, and

—-ple  —– wheresoev[er] they be –he– at Waldringefeild or else on h—

I do I will that my sayd daughter Marie whome I make my sole executrix

Of this my last will and testam[en]t,  shall pay or cause to be payed unto

Elizabeth my daught[er one Annuitie of Twentie Shillinges by the yeare?

Of good and lawfull English monie, to be payd to ye sayd Eliz: or her

Assignes quarterly vzt? 5s (5/=} by the quarter, The first whereof shall begin

One quarter of a yeare afte[r] my death,  & sae? to knowe (beinge due

Lawfully demanded} d—-ge all the time of my sayd daughter Elizabeth

Item I make my broth[e]r Rob[er]t Harte and his sonne John of Aspell Sto

Hame in the Countie aforesaid Sup[er]visoures and ov[er]seers of this my will

with all will that they be at me charge aboute the businesse thereof but

that? All be deferinged? by Marie my daughter and sole ex[ecut]rix And for

in considerac[i]on of —- my sayd brothe[r] and nephews paines I give

unto them twentie shillings to be payd to them or one of them w[i]thin

one moneth after [r] the p[ro]veninge of this my will

Item my minde is that my daughter Marie ye ex[ecut]er shall see me Christianly

Buried, and be at all ye charge, then unto be t———– and then? ye

Will yt ye poor of the p[ar]ish of W———– —— —— —  have  ——–

House? W[i]th receame ye? Collection, twelve pence a piece In witness

Whereof I the sayde Henerie Hearte have sett to my hand and

? Of WaldringfieldnSpelling of names vary. Hert Hart heart Harte Hearte Lived in Hilton Hall,
