I am very interested in the history of the village but at present I don’t really have the time and energy to take on extra activities such as historical research. But I might well do in the future. Meanwhile the group might like to know that, in a previous existence, I have worked both as a professional archivist and a museum curator. As a result I acquired paleographical skills, so if anyone comes across a document they have difficulty in reading I would be very happy to have a go at transcribing it (or at least explaining it).
