The History group remains well attended and enthusiastic.
We decided not to present a talk this year and have been concentrating on building up research for future years. The translations or transcriptions of old wills and documents going back to the 14C looks to be particularly interesting.
One of our number has undertaken the role of “Village Recorder” in conjunction with the Suffolk Local History Council.
The group’s website www.waldringfieldia.com has grown over the year and many old documents have been added which are worthy of further research. Any villager or interested party can gain access to the hidden parts of the website by using the contact details provided.
The group will meet later this month to decide on the next project.
