In the name of God Amen the first day of January in the syven? & twentieth year
Of the reigne of our sovergne Lord Charles the seconde by the grace of God of England Scotland Ffrance
& Irelande Kinge Defender of the faythe and in the yeare of the Lord one thousande six hundred &
Seaventy fower I Thomas Rivers of Waldringfield in the County of Suff[olk] house? Carpenter being god bee
blissed for it of sound & p[er]fecte memory both of body & mine doe disanull & renounce alle other form
Will & doe make & ordayne this my last will & testament Inpris I bequeath my soule into the
hands of almighty God Byseechinge him of his infinite mercy in Christ Jesus to save it & my body
to the earth from whence it came in a most comfortable hope of a most blessed & Joyfull –untion
unto eternall glory and as for my houses & lands lyinge & beinge in Waldringfeld or else where in the county of Suff[olk]
— all other my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased god to blisse mee withall I give &
bequeath them as followethe Item I give & bequeath unto Richard Yorke of Hemley in the county of Suff[olk] yeoman
& Richard Yorke of Bentley in the sayd County of Suff[olk] yeoman all my coppihold lands tenements & messuages holden of Rivers Hall & of the
Mann[o]rs of Hilton Hall lyinge scittuate & being in Walderingfeilde aforesaid and also all my messuages lands & tenements that is freehold lyinge
Lyinge scittuate & beinge in Walderingfeild, aforesaid equally to be divided between them and theire heirs Item I give & bequeath unto the sayd
Richard Yorke of Hemley & Richard Yorke of Bently all my bonds? Bills? so any money cattelles? Cattells? & all other my household stuffe
& worldly estate what soev[er] they paying all the legacies here? with? in this my last will —— specyfyed & declared Item my will
& minde is that the sayd Richard Yorke of Bently shall ber as halfe the charge that the sayd Richard Yorke of Hemley hath
beene at & that hee shall bee at hereafter for my Bord & lacking? & after? durings my life Item I geve & bequeathes unto to the poore
of the towne of Waldryngfeld the sum[m]e of twenty shillings of lawfull money of England to be payd w[i]thin one month after my
decease by my Executors Item I geve & bequeath unto Thomas Rivers of Backles[ha]m? —- sonne of Anthony Rivers Blacksmyth the sum[m]e
of Tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to bee payd when six moneths after my decease unto his heires Item I geve and
bequeath unto Willia[m] Fremich? of Soyle he ——————- the sume of tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to bee payd within six months after
my decease by my executorer as to his heires, Item I geve & bequeath unto Thomas Pyrsh of Soules marr—- the sume of tenne
pounds of lawfull money of England to bee payd w[it]hin nyne months after my decease by my Executors or to his heirs
Item I give & bequeath unto sister Stannard of Cobsecke five pounds of lawfull money of England to bee? payde to hym
Twooe? months after my decease by my Executors or to her heires Item I give & bequeath unto Mrs Cocte? of Backles[ha]m? widow
the sum[m]e of forty shillings of lawfull English money to bee payd w[it]h one moneth after my decease by my Executors Item
I give & bequeath unto Porter Clarke of Bucklesham gent the sum[m]e of forty shillings to be payd to him twooe moneths
after my decease by my Executors Item I give & bequeath unto Margarett Cryspe of Mart[le]s[h[a]m — a sum[me] of thirty shillings
of lawfull money of England to bee payd w[i]thin one moneth after my decease by my Executors Item I give & bequeath
unto Mary Yorke the daughter of Richard Yorke of Hemley the sum[m]e of forty shillings of lawfull English money to bee
payd by my Ecxecutors Item I give & bequeath unto Margarett Symonds of Rushmer the sum[m]e of twenty shillings of
lawfull money of England to bee payd w[it]h one moneth after my decease by my Exectors Item I give
Richard Gardner to his three sisters Fifty shillings a peece to bee payd by my Executors w[it]hin six moneths after my decease
Item I give & bequeath unto Bethany Thinge the sume of twenty shillings of lawfull money of England to be payd by my Executors Item I make
& ordayne the sayd Richard Yorke of Hemley & the sayd Richard Yorke of Bentley my Executors execute to this my
last will & testament In witness whereof I have here unto set my hande & seale this day & yeare first above written
