To wife MARGERY, all houses and lands in Martlesham forlife, and
all moveable in Newbourne — she to pay to testator’s daughter
MARGERY £10 a year when she reaches 20. If wife remarries, she
to pay to daughter £10 a year from date of remarriage. To sister
ROSE WHITLOCK, wife of WILLIAM WHITLOCK of Waldringfield, £5 in
two years of testator’s death, and if she too is dead by that
time, then £5 to go to her child; If that child is dead too, then
£5 to cease. To brother-in-law WILLIAM WHITLOCK 40s in 2 years
of testator’s death, provided he useth his wife well. MARGERY

Husbandman of Newbourne. Had houses and lands in Martleshamko.Left to Wife.Left money to relations Whitlock,Witnesses were William Redgrave Minister of Newbourneand Thomas Button of Hemley.
There were Buttons that lived in Waldringfield in my youth in Cement Cottage next to Maybush – Lily Button died in 60’s. Whether there were any links that far back is doubtful and may just be a coincidence.
