Rev Henry Canham

When Rev Henry Canham move away from the village his very important Suffolk Red Crag collection was bought by Sir someone who was an MP and presented to Ipswich Museum.  The best collection ever. Old Henry Canham is a bit of an unknowns of me apart from living at Nova Castra and rowing to take services at Ramsholt.

Beach Hut owners

Who are these three people peeking over the wall? They are supposedly owners of the beach hut at the top of the steps during the war, that was subsequently moved further downstream.. They may be Army/RAF and may have come from Caterham. The man in the blazer we think is Mr Cleer Cutting.

Manorial Records at Harvard

Harvard university are digitising some of their manorial records collection that they acquired from a London bookseller in the 1800's, they include Hapsley and Newbourne amongst others.  They are supposed to be making them free to view online.
